Now reading – Capitalism Inside an Organization
This short text was written by former Enron Executive Vice President Pravin J. Jain. It was published by Portland’s Publication Studio. Publication Studio prints and binds books on demand using simple methods, clean design and basic materials. The books cover is made from a manila file folder, and the text pages are high quality laser prints. The paper is crisp and white, and the type is black and sharp.
The text itself offers an insider’s view of the Enron collapse and first hand accounts of the bravado and risk taking that had become integral to the organization’s culture. I’m not sure Jain makes a strong enough stance on either side in the second half of the book, nonetheless he is wonderfully straightforward and honest as he contemplates the tumultuous events that he witnessed while at Enron.
